The difference is that when you listen you are only listening for the sound of the voice talking to stop so that you can start talking. So let me ask you then let me ask you are you listening or are you hearing?
The difference is that when you listen you are only listening for the sound of the voice talking to stop so that you can start talking. This of course is bad for business and for relationships. So you need to listen with heart in order to really hear the message that the person is sharing with you. Listening will get you heard but hearing will make you a stronger and more effective business person and grow your business by word of mouth.
As an NLP certified master practitioner, I can clearly say that most folks spend their time talking to be heard instead of listening to understand. Listening to understand is critical to any business persons success.
